The 2008 exhibit's theme was "With One Voice". 93 artists from across the United States, Israel, and Canada gave voice to all the good that is present in the world. From the next door neighbor who helped to shovel your walk, to the organizations built solely on the purpose of serving those in need, to famous individuals using their influence to do good.
In keeping with the theme, the exhibit proudly partnered with Virginia Spiegel's Fiberart for a Cause project. Each participant donated a minimum of $10 to the American Cancer Society through FFAC.
As a result, we raised $1,085 for the American Cancer Society!!!
A very heartfelt thanks to all the very talented artists who took the time to create artwork for the exhibit and for sending in a donation.
Also a special thanks to Virginia Spiegel, Beth Wheeler, Carol Larson, Embellishment Village, Artgirlz, Gailforces Fabrics , Liz Berg, Mistyfuse, Eyembellishments and Savage Fiber Arts for donating prizes!
Additional thanks to the venues that hosted the exhibit as it traveled during 2009: Fabrications Retreat, Carnegie Center for the Arts, 212 Arts Center, Saline District Library and Siouxland Samplers Quilt Guild.
The slideshow above is an archive thumbnail gallery of the 2008 exhibit. If you'd like to see all the artist statements associated with each quilt, they are available in the print catalog.
