"Whatever you are, be a good one..." - Abraham Lincoln

Creating art is about finding your joy. It is often impossible to restrict it to one medium, although there is always one that we go back to time and again - our first love of art making.

For me, that first love is fiber art. I hand stitch 99% of my work in an effort to leave my mark on everything that I make. I enjoy mixing fiber with other materials, creating a juxtaposition of textures and surfaces.

I also enjoy writing and taking photos. As a result, I'm in my third year of a photo essay called Where I Stand and have just begun a daily photo essay, the 365 Happy Things Project. Both projects help me to slow down and take a closer look at everything in the world around me.

I hope you enjoy your visit and I hope that you find joy in everything that you create.
